Only 4 miles from the charming village of Dornoch, famous for its golf course and fine sandy beaches, and with a great choice of restaurants and cafes, Oystercatchers is perfectly placed for enjoying the fabulous, unspoilt scenery and abundant wildlife in the area. The grounds at Oystercatchers run down to the shore of Loch Fleet, the most northerly of the large estuaries on the east coast of Scotland. Loch Fleet is designated a site of Special Scientific Interest (SSI), as it is both a habitat of international importance for ducks, geese and wading birds and a rare example of an unspoilt dune system, as well as being very beautiful.
