Detached, self-catering Holiday Cottage, sleeps six, Grantown-on-Spey, near Aviemore, Strathspey, Scotland. This modernised well appointed single storey detached holiday cottage, Rowan Tree Cottage, is set in the centre of Grantown-on-Spey, situated within the Cairngorms National Park. The whole area is surrounded by a wealth of leisure pursuits including hill walking, golf, fishing and mountaineering and in season skiing at Aviemore and the Lecht. The Cairngorm Mountain Range stretches 50 miles and provides some unique scenery, and there is the Glenmore Forest to explore and watersports on Loch Morlich and Loch Insh. Other local amenities include the RSPB reserve at Nethybridge, which is the home to many rare species of birds. The area is the setting for the television series Monarch of the Glen and the Whisky and Castle Trails are based in neighbouring Moray. Shop, pub and restaurant 100 yards.
