Ben Cruachan Ridge from Beinn Bhalgairean.
The two grahams of Meall Tairbh and Beinn Bhalgarain, make for a challenging walk from Victoria Bridge near Bridge of Orchy and the West Highland Way.
The reward however is the choice of views from the Ben Starav hills over to the Bridge of Orchy hills and on to the marvellous Ben Cruachan Horseshoe. We were almost caught out by icy conditions on our last outing round the Cruachan ridge, so it pays to take crampons well on into the year, as snow and ice linger on, on this majestic mountain!
